The first 4 miles of the trail is paved starting at the Marks Creek Trail Head and ending at the Sycamore Creek Trail Head. This section of the trail is wheelchair accessible from both trail heads.

There is a comfort station at Turkey Junction; it is about 1 mile from the Marks Creek Trail Head.

The second part of the trail is called Eagle Pass and is 2.5 miles long. This section is not paved but compacted gravel. This area is not suitable for road bikes.
